MHAT is a project by KEDC focusing on mental health awareness training for various groups like school personnel and first responders in in three eastern Kentucky school districts: Bath, Menifee and Greenup.
The training includes SAMHSA approved practices like PBIS and a multi-tiered level of support system.
The training primarily targets students aged 4-18 in Bath, Boyd and Greenup Counties, but also includes adult training for identifying mental health issues.
The community is involved through an Interconnected Systems Framework to train everyone and implement evidence-based practices for mental health support.
